Dr. Krishan Bhakta earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Boston University and is passionate about serving the musculoskeletal health needs of the Bay Area community. A Bay Area native, Krishan’s journey took him to Los Angeles and Boston for the past decade, but his love for the region has brought him back home.

As a lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast, Krishan’s passion for physical therapy is deeply personal. His interest in sports medicine was sparked after undergoing physical therapy for his own shoulder surgery and supporting his mother through her ankle rehabilitation. These experiences strengthened his commitment to helping others recover, move better, and thrive.

Krishan’s career in insurance-driven healthcare settings gave him first-hand insight into the challenges of traditional healthcare—where patient care often takes a back seat to administrative demands. That’s why he joined Opus, where he can prioritize a patient-first approach. With Krishan, every session is personalized: he listens to what your body is telling you, assesses any movement limitations, and creates a treatment plan tailored to your individual goals and lifestyle.

Now living in the East Bay, Krishan stays close to his roots, enjoying time with family and friends. When he’s not working with patients, you can find him relishing a good round on the golf course!
